Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Port Charlotte, FL location. The role focuses on store operations, customer service, and team development to ensure a smooth daily workflow.

The position requires the ability to lead by example, manage basic payroll/scheduling, and safeguard assets while maintaining a clean, welcoming shopping environment for customers and staff alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling
• Keep the store well-stocked and organized
• Protect and secure store assets and cash
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Supervise and develop Store Associates under the Store Manager
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking
