Dollar Tree in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with merchandise handling, opening/closing procedures, and payroll/scheduling while maintaining a safe, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain store compliance.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
