Job summary

Dollar Tree in Bristol, CT is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily tasks, organize deliveries, and help ensure the store remains clean, stocked, and compliant with company policies.

You will supervise and train Store Associates, handle opening and closing, manage basic payroll/scheduling tasks, and maintain a safe, friendly environment that delivers a positive shopping experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to floor and maintaining seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional materials.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll/scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Keep an organized stockroom and sales floor.
• Protect company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; lead and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
