Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development at our Bristol location. You will assist with opening/closing, merchandising, inventory, and daily administration to ensure smooth operations.

You will supervise and train Store Associates, maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment, and uphold company policies while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in store management in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions or concerns in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean, restocked, and presentable.
