Dollar Tree in Newington, Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily tasks, train associates, and help maintain a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

Key duties include opening/closing procedures, merchandising, payroll and scheduling records, cash handling, loss prevention, and ensuring adherence to policies.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling, cash deposits, and loss prevention.
• Maintain neat stockrooms and sales floors to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness and restocking in bathrooms and floors, plus waste management.
• Other duties as assigned.
