Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Wisconsin to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily activities, supervise associates, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment in La Crosse.

You’ll organize merchandise, handle opening/closing procedures, and maintain displays. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with a focus on excellent customer service and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending and reaching.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and store communications related to activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for store-fronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; ensure a respectful environment.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of store areas, restrooms, floors, and overall presentation.
