Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, customer service, and team development in West Milwaukee. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise, and support the Store Manager in training and supervising associates.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a commitment to safe, friendly, and efficient store environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and required to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environments is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for maximum impact.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms and floors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
