Family Dollar in Joliet, Illinois is seeking a dedicated store team member to support daily store operations and exceptional customer service. You will assist with opening/closing procedures, merchandise handling, and compliance with corporate directives while maintaining attractive, well-stocked departments.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and dependable execution of tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain store areas to company standards and secure assets.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines and ensure staff follow them.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintaining cleanliness, restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
