Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will support day-to-day activities, open and close the store, and ensure the sales floor and stockroom are well organized.

You will supervise store associates, train staff, protect assets, and maintain a safe, friendly environment for customers and employees while adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Read and explain operational directives as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain store displays and promotional fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Keep store and stockroom well-stocked and organized.
