Job summary

J.Crew Group (JCG) in the United States is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the leadership team. You will drive profitability through genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement, while coaching the sales team for peak performance and collaborating with the broader leadership group to ensure smooth operational support.

You will supervise designated divisions, manage store operations and systems, and support recruiting and development efforts.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of retail management experience in a similar scope.
• Passionately support our brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with current fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.
• Innovate and champion new ideas while navigating uncertainty, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Scheduling flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must bend, reach, stretch for product and lift/move at least 40 pounds (18 kilos).

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact business results and profitability.
• Own your designated division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist Store Director & Associate Store Manager with recruiting, training and development as needed.
• Partner to create a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class customer service.
• Lead product knowledge sessions to boost associate engagement.
• Develop innovative community engagement and loyalty-building events.
• Step into various sales floor roles when needed.
