Job summary

Center Independent Oil Stores LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead store operations in Clinton, PA. You will work with the Store Manager to supervise daily tasks, train staff, and ensure exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include budgeting, inventory control, loss prevention, staff development, and maintaining a welcoming store atmosphere while meeting company goals. Valid driver’s license required and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience guiding and motivating a team.
• Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Ability to respond to staffing issues and emergencies as needed.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Physically able to stand, bend, and kneel throughout a shift.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and shifts opposite the Store Manager.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Store Manager to supervise daily operations, assignments, and team performance.
• Support recruiting, hiring, training, and ongoing development of store staff to build a high-performing team
• Maintain a professional, respectful, and positive demeanor when interacting with employees, vendors, and customers.
• Foster a welcoming, organized, and engaging store environment to create a exceptional shopping experience
• Assist budgeting, ordering, and operational planning to meet financial goals
• Monitor and safeguard retail assets to minimize shrinkage and protect company resources
• Support loss prevention initiatives and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
• Lead by example to deliver outstanding customer service across the store and guide team members to do the same
• Ensure customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded in line with company standards
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally, turning challenges into positive experiences
