Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Mobile, AL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily tasks, train associates, maintain displays, and ensure safety and policies.

This is a part-time role based at Spring Hill Avenue, with responsibilities including opening/closing procedures, payroll/scheduling support, and maintaining a well-stocked sales floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise transfer from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (scheduling, payroll, cash deposits).
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow policies.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
