Job summary

Brobston Group LLC is seeking an Assistant General Manager for an MCM retail location in Michigan. The role supports the General Manager in driving sales, operations, and client development, while coaching staff, executing merchandising strategies, and monitoring daily performance.

You will assist with store openings, loss prevention, and ensuring SOP compliance, with a focus on coaching talent, solving customer issues, and ensuring profitability through strong retail analytics.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of store management experience, preferably with fashion or luxury brands.
• BA or BS degree preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in recruiting, developing, and mentoring talent.
• Strong understanding of retail math, analytics, payroll, shrink, and inventory management.
• Experience with store openings and roll-outs an asset.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel; ability to work retail hours.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales to achieve or exceed store targets and support top- and bottom-line results
• Coach and develop sales associates; deliver product knowledge and SOP training
• Resolve customer issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrence
• Monitor inventory planning and metrics including in-stocks, turnover, and flow
• Maintain loss prevention procedures and secure receiving processes
• Review store P&L, payroll, and expenses to identify profitability opportunities
• Analyze sales trends, identify top and slow sellers, and support merchandising execution
• Perform store opening and closing procedures and manage store communications
