Job summary

Sephora in San Mateo is seeking an Asset Protection Partner to safeguard assets and support a safe, inclusive environment for clients and employees. You will work with store leaders and the District Asset Protection Manager to implement safety plans, monitor activity, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in relevant fields, strong communication, and comfort with CCTV/reporting tools.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in retail operations, sales, hospitality, asset protection, or loss prevention.
• Understanding of retail operations, shrink, and safety.
• Ability to build trust and collaborate across teams.
• Conflict de-escalation skills.
• Comfortable with CCTV and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety & awareness; lead or join meetings and training.
• Maintain strong store presence; spend 75–80% of time on the selling floor.
• Partner with leadership to align shrink reduction and safety initiatives.
• Monitor and investigate losses using CCTV and reporting tools.
• Handle incidents with professionalism; prioritize safety and client experience.
• Execute audits and reporting for asset protection efforts.
• Adhere to asset protection policies and licensing requirements.
• Support multiple locations as needed.
• Represent Sephora when required.
