Job summary

American Girl, a premium brand and subsidiary of Mattel, is seeking an Asset Protection Associate for its Retail Flagship location. You will help maintain a safe environment for customers and employees while safeguarding assets, using strong communication to handle incidents and everyday situations.

The role requires a responsible, compassionate approach, the ability to multi-task, and a willingness to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of loss prevention, law enforcement, criminal justice, military, or security experience preferred.
• State-specific license required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe environment for customers and store employees by monitoring safety concerns and guiding customer traffic.
• Provide external and internal customer service in a positive, professional manner; diffuse escalated situations.
• Prevent loss of assets through surveillance, package checks, and knowledge of retail laws.
• Serve as a safety mentor for store employees, lead by example.
