Job summary

American Girl, a subsidiary of Mattel, is seeking an Asset Protection Associate for its Chicago Flagship. You will help maintain a safe store environment, protect assets, and provide professional customer service while handling safety and security tasks.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years in loss prevention or security, strong communication skills, and the ability to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. The role requires teamwork with store staff and the broader Mattel family.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in loss prevention, security, or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and diffuse escalations.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for customers and store employees.
• Provide excellent external and internal customer service in a positive, professional manner.
• Prevent loss of assets via surveillance, checks, and knowledge of retail security laws.
• Serve as a safety mentor and lead by example for store staff.
