Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Integrity, honesty and professionalism required.
• Ability to diffuse confrontational situations.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1 year of retail asset protection experience preferred.
• Multi-store asset protection experience preferred.
• Operational knowledge of CCTV systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct plainclothes surveillance to detect loss within a store environment.
• Conduct internal and external investigations and report findings; apprehend individuals involved in illegal acts.
• Comply with all laws and company policies.
• Conduct physical security checks; recommend loss-prevention improvements.
• Partner with law enforcement and prepare case reports for prosecution.
• Identify conditions affecting shrink and profitability by auditing for compliance.
• Serve as liaison to develop solutions to reduce waste.
• Complete thorough reports on AP activities.
• Support AP initiatives at district level.
• Testify in court and labor hearings on behalf of the company.
• Test equipment like EAS, Lane Hawk, CCTV during visits.
• Travel to locations and work varied schedules, including weekends.
