Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to protect company assets, conduct surveillance, and lead investigations of theft inside stores across the division. You will partner with the district AP manager, test security equipment, and report findings; travel to locations and work varied schedules, including weekends.

• Demonstrated integrity, honesty and professionalism.
• Ability to diffuse confrontational situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct plainclothes surveillance to detect loss within a store environment.
• Conduct investigations and report findings; apprehend individuals involved in illegal acts.
• Comply with laws and company policies while carrying out responsibilities.
• Conduct security checks; recommend loss-prevention improvements.
• Partner with law enforcement and prepare case reports for prosecution.
• Identify conditions affecting shrink and profitability by auditing for compliance.
• Serve as liaison to develop solutions to reduce waste.
• Testify in court and labor hearings on behalf of the company.
• Test functionality of AP equipment during store visits.
• Travel to locations across the division and work varied schedules, including weekends.
