Job summary

The Kroger family of companies is seeking a dedicated Asset Protection professional in California to conduct surveillance, investigations, and loss-prevention efforts across stores. You will work with district AP leadership to reduce shrink and protect assets, test security equipment, and support enforcement activities.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, integrity, and experience diffusing confrontations. Travel across the division and weekend shifts may be required.

• Ability to diffuse confrontational situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct plainclothes surveillance to detect internal and external loss within a store environment.
• Conduct investigations and report findings; apprehend individuals involved in illegal acts.
• Comply with laws and company policies while performing duties.
• Perform physical security checks and recommend losses-prevention measures.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and prepare case reports for prosecution.
• Audit conditions and behaviors affecting shrink, safety, and profitability.
