Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot in Middleborough, MA, seeks a Store Area Team Leader to oversee merchandising standards, ensure efficient flow of merchandise, and lead store teams. You will apply a detailed, data-driven approach to operations and freight handling to maintain high store performance.

Ideal candidate is detail-oriented with strong merchandising principles, the ability to motivate teams, and a track record of delivering excellent customer service while controlling costs and optimizing schedules.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of retail management experience.
• Proficient in Google Workspace (Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets).
• Preferred experience with HCM and BI tools.
• Travel on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities

• Support Company programs to maximize revenue and store goals.
• Lead the store in the absence of the Store Team Leader and demonstrate leadership capabilities.
• Reconcile daily funds according to store closing procedures.
• Lead backroom efficiency and actively manage a 24-hour freight turnaround.
• Coordinate the receiving team to ensure accurate receipt and inspection of merchandise.
• Recruit, train, and develop store associates.
• Foster a positive culture and ensure exceptional customer service.
