Job summary

GlassRatner Advisory & Capital Group LLC seeks a Director of Restructuring & Insolvency to lead complex engagements, translate ambiguity into action, and deliver momentum across distressed situations. The role requires independent judgment, initiative, and the ability to influence clients, lenders, and counsel in high‑stakes environments.

The candidate will guide engagement strategy, coach teams, and maintain execution intensity while managing through volatile crises and rapid changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 9–12+ years of experience in restructuring, turnaround advisory, investment banking, consulting, or other distressed environments.
• Demonstrated success leading complex analyses and workstreams independently.
• Strong experience with financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, capital structures, and creditor negotiations.
• Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of restructuring, turnaround, and special situation engagements, developing team members through exposure to senior-level analysis and stakeholder interaction.
• Structure incomplete or evolving information into clear analyses and decision paths.
• Develop and oversee cash flow forecasts, liquidity analyses, financial models, and restructuring scenarios under tight timelines.
• Coach team members, influence clients, lenders, and legal counsel, and manage engagement quality and momentum.
