Responsibilities

• Own overall engagement management: scope, execution, and deliverables across multiple engagements
• Lead strategy with Partners and Associates to solve complex financial and operational issues quickly
• Manage and train staff, ensuring deliverables are accurate and on deadline
• Advise Partners on the best path to preserve value for all stakeholders
• Build trusted advisor relationships with clients and extend engagement scope over time
• Communicate milestones and deadlines with internal teams and client stakeholders
• Lead or support a firm committee (marketing, training, or recruiting) and coach Associates
• Travel to client sites roughly 30% on average

We're hiring a Director to lead engagements end-to-end — owning strategy, managing staff, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Own overall engagement management: scope, execution, and deliverables, across multiple concurrent engagements
• Lead strategy in collaboration with Partners and Associates to solve complex financial and operational issues quickly
• Manage and train staff, ensuring deliverables are accurate, efficient, and on deadline
• Quickly assess a client's situation and advise Partners on the best path to preserve value for all stakeholders
• Build trusted‑advisor relationships with clients and extend the scope of engagements over time
• Communicate frequently with internal teams and client stakeholders on milestones and deadlines
• Lead or support a firm committee (marketing, training, or recruiting) and help coach Associates
• Travel to client sites as needed (roughly 30% on average, varies by engagement)

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from a highly regarded university, high GPA (MBA, CPA, CTP, or CFA a plus)
• 8+ years of experience, including at least 3 years of restructuring experience at a restructuring firm
• Track record leading multiple turnaround/restructuring engagements and managing engagement staff
• Demonstrated success across restructuring, profit‑improvement, and insolvency engagements
• Deep, hands‑on experience with 3‑statement and liquidity modeling
• Strong analytical skills — comfortable working with large or incomplete data sets to build custom financial analysis
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience engaging stakeholders from C-suite executives to warehouse personnel
• High energy and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, unstructured, high‑pressure environment
• Excellent written and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel on short notice and be in the office when not on‑site
