Job summary

Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity is seeking a friendly ReStore Sales Associate to create a welcoming shopping experience, assist customers, process purchases and help maintain the sales floor.

The position involves cash handling, stock support, donation processing and teamwork with volunteers. Full-time, approximately 35–38 hours weekly, with a benefits package including medical, dental and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least six months of retail or customer-service experience preferred.
• Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
• Strong communication and professional appearance.
• Willingness to learn merchandise categories and pricing procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including weekends.
• Experience working with volunteers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional assistance.
• Process cash, credit and other transactions accurately.
• Open and balance a cash register.
• Maintain merchandise displays and assist with donations.
• Work with employees and volunteers to ensure a positive store experience.
• Assist with stocking and inventory when needed.
