Job summary

Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity is seeking a part-time Cashier Associate at the Milton ReStore to deliver friendly service, process transactions, and help keep the sales floor organized and safe.

You will handle cash, assist with donations and pricing changes, greet customers, and support loading merchandise while contributing to a mission that funds affordable housing across northwestern Vermont, including Williston.

Qualifications

• Retail or warehouse experience preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Cash handling and basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions through the POS system with discounts, returns, and tax handling.
• Maintain cash drawer integrity and accurate cash handling.
• Move and merchandise items safely on the sales floor.
• Greet customers and provide a welcoming environment.
• Assist with stocking, price changes, and cart retrieval.
• Unloading trucks and helping customers with purchases.
• Attend community events and assist with set-up/clean-up.
