Job summary

Center for Youth Services in Hilton, NY seeks a Behavior Intervention Specialist for an on-site, 11-month full-time role. You will work with school staff to implement crisis de-escalation, restorative practices, and data-driven program evaluation to support students, families, and faculty.

Responsibilities include coordinating prevention education, reporting to the Director of School Based Programs, and acting as a liaison at meetings and health fairs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Service or related field AND 1-3 years' related experience (Master's Degree preferred).
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Administers, coordinates and oversees program (on-site).
• Works with School Administrators to ensure services meet identified needs and reports regularly.
• Attend School Support Service meetings.
• Delivers a restorative-based system.
• Creates and oversees data collection and program evaluation processes.
• Provides monthly reports to Director of School Based Programs.
• Coordinates requests for Prevention Education services.
• Outreach and information dissemination.
• Referral and referral readiness.
• Immediate response and support.
• Prevention education with fidelity including asset-building groups, curricula, booster sessions.
• Asset development and risk reduction activities.
• Alternatives to suspension services including pre/post assessment and transitional services.
• Agency ambassador and liaison at meetings, open houses and health fairs.
• Research and design of services including outcome and impact tracking.
• Development and maintenance of resource files, lesson plans and training aids.
