Job summary

The Center for Youth in Hilton, NY is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist to support school-based youth services. You will administer and coordinate on-site programs, working with administrators to address identified needs and maintain crisis response readiness.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human Services (or related field) with 1–3 years of related experience.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer, coordinate, and oversee on-site program.
• Collaborate with School Administrators to tailor services to identified needs.
• Attend School Support Service meetings.
• Deliver a restorative-based system.
• Create and oversee data collection and program evaluation processes.
• Provide monthly reports to Director of School Based Programs.
• Coordinate requests for Prevention Education services.
• Outreach and information dissemination.
• Referral and referral readiness.
• Immediate response and support.
• Prevention education with fidelity including: asset-building groups, curricula, booster sessions.
• Asset development and protective factor activities.
• Alternatives to suspension services including pre/post assessment and transitional services.
• Agency ambassador and liaison at meetings, open houses and health fairs.
• Research and design of services including outcome and impact tracking.
• Development and maintenance of resource files, lesson plans and training aids.
