The Center for Youth Services, Inc. works with local schools to provide academic instruction and socio-emotional support to reducing repeat offenses and keeping students in class. The Behavior Intervention Specialist helps create a supportive presence among youth, families, and faculty.
It is a full-time, 11-month position with hours that may overlap the school day. Some evenings or weekends may be required for special events or projects, reflecting a collaborative community approach in a school

In partnership with local school districts, student who commit infractions receive academic instruction and socio-emotional support to reduce repeat offenses. Help Zones are designed to intervene in crises, deescalate, and get students back into the classroom within 5-30 minutes.
The Behavior Intervention Specialist works to create a youth/ family/ faculty/ friendly presence within the school that is founded on cooperative relationships and direct communication.
Full time 11- month position. Work hours may overlap the school day (before and after school). Special events or projects may occasionally take place during the early evenings and/or on a weekend.
Pay Rate: $20- $22 per hour
