Job summary

Nexus Family Healing is seeking a Restorative Practice Specialist for New Dominion School in Austin, MN. The role focuses on turning discipline into learning through restorative strategies and trauma-informed care to support social and emotional growth among students.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma with paraprofessional licensure and background in behavioral trauma-informed care.
• Experience in educational settings and working with youth is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and implement restorative strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develops restorative strategies with admin team and documents practices.
• Builds trust with staff and provides training on restorative methods.
• Assesses student mood and needs to determine interventions.
• Mediates discussions between students and staff to guide behavior.
• Supports trauma-informed care to enable rigorous learning in a safe environment.
