Job summary

Arvin Post Acute is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to join our care team. You will deliver restorative nursing services designed to help residents regain mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Working closely with nursing and rehabilitation professionals, you will support individualized restorative programs while encouraging residents to achieve their highest practical level of functioning.

Qualifications

• Current California Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.
• Restorative Nursing Assistant training or prior restorative experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Knowledge of safe transfers, positioning, ambulation, and ROM techniques.
• Ability to follow care plans and document services accurately.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and encouraging approach to resident care.
• Dependable attendance and flexibility to work weekends/holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide restorative nursing services according to each resident's care plan and facility procedures.
• Assist residents with ROM exercises, ambulation, transfers, positioning, mobility, and other restorative programs.
• Support residents with activities of daily living while encouraging independence.
• Assist with splint/brace programs, bed mobility, dining programs, and bowel/bladder retraining as assigned.
• Use gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, lifts and other equipment safely.
• Observe residents' progress, tolerance and changes in condition.
• Report pain, fatigue, functional decline, skin concerns or changes to the licensed nurse.
• Document restorative services, participation, progress and responses.
• Follow infection-prevention, safety, and resident-rights procedures.
• Communicate with nurses, therapists, CNAs, residents and families.
• Provide encouragement and emotional support during restorative activities.
• Maintain residents' dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Attend required meetings, training, and care conferences.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Arvin Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and dependable Part-Time Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will provide restorative nursing services designed to help residents maintain or improve their mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Working closely with nursing and rehabilitation professionals, the RNA supports individualized restorative programs while encouraging residents to achieve their highest practical level of functioning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide restorative nursing services according to each resident's care plan and established facility procedures.
• Assist residents with range-of-motion exercises, ambulation, transfers, positioning, mobility, and other restorative programs.
• Support residents with activities of daily living while encouraging maximum independence.
• Assist with splint or brace programs, bed mobility, dining programs, and bowel or bladder retraining as assigned.
• Use gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, lifts, and other equipment safely and correctly.
• Observe residents' progress, tolerance, and changes in condition.
• Promptly report pain, fatigue, functional decline, skin concerns, or other changes to the licensed nurse.
• Accurately document restorative services, resident participation, progress, and responses.
• Follow infection-prevention, safety, and resident-rights procedures.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, CNAs, residents, and families.
• Provide encouragement and emotional support throughout restorative activities.
• Maintain residents' dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Assist with routine CNA duties when needed and as assigned.
• Attend required meetings, training sessions, and care conferences.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current California Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.
• Restorative Nursing Assistant training or previous restorative experience preferred.
• Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term-care, or geriatric experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required according to facility policy.
• Knowledge of safe transfer, positioning, ambulation, and range-of-motion techniques.
• Ability to follow care plans and document services accurately.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and encouraging approach to resident care.
• Dependable attendance and flexibility to work assigned shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must maintain all required certifications and continuing education.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and assisting residents with mobility and transfers. The employee must be able to lift, reposition, and move residents or equipment in accordance with facility safety procedures.
