Arvin Post Acute in Arvin, CA is seeking a compassionate Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to join our dedicated team. This role focuses on restorative programs to maintain and improve residents' mobility, independence, and quality of life.

The RNA will provide routine care per the resident plan under supervision, contribute to a positive environment, and participate in team meetings. California CNA certification and RNA training are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience with PointClickCare preferred.
• Current California CNA certification required.
• Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) training required.
• CPR certification if required by licensure.
• Must maintain certifications in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with restorative exercises to improve or maintain mobility, strength, and independence.
• Encourage participation in activities and out-of-bed mobility unless medically contraindicated.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, dining, splinting, and ROM activities as directed.
• Obtain and accurately record resident weights and report changes.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and other ADLs.
• Reposition residents regularly to promote comfort and skin integrity.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable environment and promote personal hygiene.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition promptly.

Pay Range: $18.00-$18.50/hour BOE

General Purpose

A Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) provides assigned residents with routine restorative nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, as directed by the supervisor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with restorative exercises to improve or maintain mobility, strength, and independence
• Encourage participation in activities and out-of-bed mobility unless medically contraindicated
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, dining, splinting, and range-of-motion activities as directed
• Obtain and accurately record resident weights and report significant changes
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and other ADLs
• Reposition residents regularly to promote comfort and skin integrity
• Promote personal hygiene and maintain a clean, comfortable environment
• Participate in RNA meetings with Rehabilitation and Nursing Departments
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in PointClickCare
• Observe and report changes in resident condition promptly
• Assist residents with appointments, treatments, meals, and activities
• Apply pressure-relieving devices and implement skin protection measures
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and therapeutic environment for residents

Supervisory Requirements

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One year of long-term care experience preferred
• Experience with PointClickCare preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Current California CNA certification required
• Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) training required
• CPR certification if required by licensure
• Must maintain certifications in good standing
