The Good Samaritan Canistota facility in Canistota, SD is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our long‑term care team. The role supports residents with daily living activities, mobility, hygiene and safety under the supervision of an RN, using person‑centered care plans.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior CNA experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification with the State Board of Nursing; completion of 40 hours restorative care training.
• Annual competency testing and continuing education credits for each year.
• Driving status may apply (Sanford Category II Driver) with license and driving policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered care under RN supervision.
• Assist with mobility, grooming, bathing, dressing, eating and daily activities.
• Document resident progress and report changes promptly to supervising staff.
• Maintain infection prevention and PPE use according to policies.
