Job summary

Good Samaritan Canistota is looking for a dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide daily living aid and supportive care to residents in a 32-hour week, day shift setting. You will assist with mobility, hygiene, nourishment and comfort, under RN supervision, while using EMR for documentation and care planning.

Responsibilities include restorative activities, safety-oriented positioning, and collaboration with a nursing team to maintain residents’ highest functional independence.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with State Board.
• High school graduate or GED (preferred).
• Minimum age 16 with prior long-term care experience preferred.
• CNA training program completed with restorative care components.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, mobility and eating.
• Document progress in EMR and report changes promptly.
