Job summary

Aegis Therapies is seeking a Restorative CNA – Wellness Instructor in Olathe, KS. Join our Rehab Therapy team to deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs as part of restorative care for residents in a skilled nursing setting.

This PRN role offers weekend coverage with flexible scheduling and dedicated training. CNA certification is required, and background in senior fitness is preferred to help patients improve mobility and quality of life.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Current CNA certification in state of practice.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer or fitness instructor preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
