Job summary

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing required.
• Restorative Aide training or experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with restorative programs per individualized care plans.
• Encourage participation in restorative activities to maintain independence.
• Monitor resident tolerance and report changes to nursing staff.
• Document restorative services promptly per facility policy.
• Assist with positioning and use of mobility devices as directed.
• Reinforce therapy goals and techniques as instructed by therapy staff.
• Promote safety during all restorative activities and follow infection control guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
• Assist with resident transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics.
• Participate in care conferences, in-services, and required training.
