Gig Harbor Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Restorative Aide to join our team. The Restorative Aide will implement restorative care plans to promote mobility, strength, and independence for residents.

A valid CNA license is required and you will work with a multidisciplinary team to support rehabilitation goals. The role emphasizes direct resident care, documentation, and collaboration with therapists and nursing staff to maintain high-quality restorative services.

Qualifications

• Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license in good standing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Experience with restorative or rehabilitative therapy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor individualized restorative care plans to improve or maintain mobility, strength, and function.
• Assist residents with prescribed restorative exercises and activities; monitor progress.
• Regularly assess residents' physical abilities and report changes to adjust care plans.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff and others for coordinated care.
• Document restorative care activities, progress, and changes in residents' conditions; maintain records per policy.
• Educate residents and families on restorative care goals, techniques, and exercises.
• Encourage independence in activities of daily living while ensuring safety.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and mobility-related tasks.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance; report concerns.

Job Summary:

Gig Harbor Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and dedicatedRestorative Aideto join our team. The Restorative Aide will play a vital role in providing quality, patient-centered care that promotes the well-being, independence, and overall health of our residents. This position requires a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license and will involve working closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement and maintain restorative care plans that promote mobility, strength, and functionality for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Restorative Care Implementation:Assist in implementing and monitoring individualized restorative care plans for residents to help improve or maintain their mobility, strength, and overall physical function. Work with residents to promote independence in daily living activities.

• Assist with Exercises:Provide assistance to residents with prescribed restorative exercises and activities. Encourage participation and monitor progress.

• Resident Monitoring:Regularly assess residents' physical abilities and limitations. Document and report any changes to the nursing team to ensure the care plan is adjusted as necessary.

• Collaboration with Team:Work closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care for residents.

• Documentation:Accurately document restorative care activities, resident progress, and any significant changes in residents' conditions. Ensure proper record-keeping in accordance with facility policies.

• Patient Education:Educate residents and their families on restorative care goals, techniques, and exercises to foster a positive approach to rehabilitation.

• Encourage Independence:Support and motivate residents to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) as independently as possible, while ensuring safety and comfort.

• Assist with Transfers:Provide assistance with safe transfers, ambulation, and other mobility-related tasks to help residents regain or maintain mobility.

• Safety and Compliance:Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements. Report any concerns regarding patient safety or wellbeing.

Qualifications:

• Education & License:

  • Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license in good standing.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience:

  • Previous experience in a long-term care, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting is preferred.

  • Experience with restorative or rehabilitative therapy is a plus.
