Job summary

Mountain View Care Center in Ripley, WV is seeking a compassionate Restorative Aide with an active CNA license to support residents' restorative care plans and independence. Part-time, 8-hour shifts, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with 7a-3:30p or 9a-5:30p rotating shifts.

You will collaborate with therapy and nursing teams, document progress, encourage ADLs, and help maintain safety. Prior restorative aide or CNA experience is preferred; focus on dignity and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state.
• Completion of a restorative aide training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with restorative care plans, including ROM, ambulation, and activities to promote independence.
• Implement restorative programs designed by therapists, nurses, or other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and report any changes to the nursing or therapy teams.
• Assist residents with restorative nursing programs designed by therapy or nursing.
• Help residents with walking/ambulation programs, ROM, transfers, mobility, splint/brace use, positioning, and dining/self-feeding.
• Document resident progress and participation accurately.
• Report changes in resident condition to licensed nursing staff.
• Encourage residents to maintain independence with ADLs.
• Work closely with therapy, nursing, and care teams.
• Ensure resident safety during restorative activities.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Restorative Aide to join our team. The Restorative Aide plays a vital role in assisting residents with their restorative care plans, helping them achieve and maintain their highest level of physical functioning, independence, and quality of life. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing exceptional care, has a strong attention to detail, and works well as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Resident Care:

  • Assist residents with restorative care plans, including range-of motion exercises, ambulation, and activities to promote independence.

  • Implement restorative programs designed by therapists, nurses, orother healthcare professionals.

  • Monitor and document residents' progress and report any changes to the nursing or therapy teams.

  • Assist residents with restorative nursing programs designed by therapy or nursing

  • Help residents with:

    • Walking/ambulation programs

    • Range of motion exercises

    • Transfers and mobility

    • Splint or brace application

    • Positioning and turning

    • Dining/self-feeding programs

    • Toileting programs

  • Document resident progress and participation accurately

  • Report changes in resident condition to licensed nursing staff

  • Encourage residents to maintain independence with ADLs

  • Work closely with therapy, nursing, and care teams

  • Ensure resident safety during restorative activities

  • Maintain a positive and supportive environment

• Collaboration:

  • Work closely with nursing staff, physical therapists, occupationaltherapists, and other healthcare team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.

  • Participate in care plan meetings and provide input on residents'progress and restorative needs.

• Documentation:

  • Accurately record restorative interventions and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.

  • Maintain compliance with documentation requirements to support billing and care standards.

• Resident Advocacy:

  • Encourage and motivate residents to actively participate in their restorative care programs.

  • Ensure residents’ dignity, comfort, and safety during all restorative activities.

• Compliance and Safety:

  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.

  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Education and Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state.

  • Completion of a restorative aide training program preferred.

• Experience:

• Previous experience as a restorative aide or CNA in a long-termcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred.

• Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

  • Physical ability to assist with lifting, transferring, and supporting residents during restorative activities.

Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, and physical activity to assist residents.

• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds as needed.

• May involve exposure to infectious diseases or hazardous materials, following appropriate safety protocols.
