Job summary

Parkview Healthcare is seeking a Restorative Aide to support resident mobility and independence, coordinating restorative nursing under Nursing Department direction. You will work with Rehabilitation Services to deliver targeted programs and monitor progress.

You will participate in daily activities, assist residents with mobility and ROM, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care. This full-time daytime role offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification required.
• Restorative Aide Certificate required.
• Restorative care experience preferred.
• CMT certification is a plus and preferred.
• Ability to motivate, encourage, and support residents.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Responsibilities

• Implement and participate in restorative programs for residents.
• Assist residents with exercises, mobility programs, ROM activities, and positioning.
• Facilitate transition from rehab to restorative programs.
• Communicate with Nursing Director, Rehabilitation Nurse, and team about goals and progress.
• Attend rehabilitation rounds and communicate restorative needs to staff.
• Maintain restorative nursing documentation and progress records.
• Visit residents daily to ensure programs are appropriate and effective.
• Train and support caregivers in restorative techniques and care delivery.
• Monitor ROM and T&P orders for compliance.
• Instruct staff with splints, braces, and assistive devices.
• Identify restorative needs for new admissions and report findings.
• Communicate progress with families during care conferences.

Parkview Healthcare is actively hiring a Restorative Aide to support resident mobility, functional independence, and overall well-being. The Restorative Aide coordinates, implements, and provides restorative nursing care for residents under the direction of the Nursing Department and in collaboration with Rehabilitation Services.

As a Restorative Aide, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' daily lives by helping them maintain mobility, independence, and quality of life. Consistency, encouragement, patience, and hands-on engagement are essential to success in this role.

Schedule and Employment Type

Full-Time Days (7AM - 3:30PM / 8AM - 4:30PM) | Monday–Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and participate in restorative programs as a Restorative Aide for individual residents
• Assist residents with exercises, mobility programs, range-of-motion activities, and positioning as ordered
• Facilitate the transition of residents from skilled rehabilitation services to restorative and preventative programs
• Communicate regularly with the Director of Nursing, Rehabilitation Nurse, and interdisciplinary team regarding resident goals and progress
• Attend rehabilitation rounds and communicate restorative needs to appropriate staff
• Maintain accurate restorative nursing documentation and progress records
• Visit residents daily or as needed to ensure programs are appropriate and effective
• Train and support primary caregivers in restorative techniques and proper care delivery
• Monitor residents with range-of-motion and T&P orders to ensure compliance
• Instruct and assist staff with splints, braces, prosthetics, and self-help devices
• Identify restorative needs for new admissions and communicate findings to appropriate personnel
• Communicate with families regarding resident progress during care conferences or as needed
• Remain proficient in the use of wheelchairs, walkers, canes, lifts, scales, and restorative equipment
• Put resident care first and ensure the highest quality of service

Qualifications

• Restorative care experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday

• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a height of at least 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
