Job summary

Servpro Industries, Inc. is seeking a hands-on restoration assistant to respond to emergencies and perform water and fire damage restoration tasks.

You will help with equipment setup, material handling, and on-site communication with clients while supporting a crew in outdoor and indoor environments. Ideal candidates have a valid driver’s license, are willing to work on-call including evenings and weekends, and may have restoration or construction experience.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in restoration, construction, or related field preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations (water and fire damage).
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities (water extraction, drying, equipment setup, demolition).
• Load, inventory, and prepare vehicles with tools and supplies.
• Communicate safety hazards and equipment needs to supervisors.
• Maintain clear communication with clients about restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks (water extraction, drying, site cleanup).

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
