Job summary

Servpro of St. Louis Central in Missouri is seeking a hands-on Restoration Technician to respond to emergency calls and perform cleanup and restoration tasks. You will work on water and fire damage jobs, load and prep equipment, and communicate with supervisors and clients.

Ideal candidates have handyman or construction experience, a valid driver's license, and are willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on-call. IICRC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water and fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities and set-up of equipment.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools and supplies.
• Communicate safety hazards, site findings, and equipment requirements to supervisors.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and explain the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks such as water extraction and drying.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
