Job summary

SERVPRO of Cheyenne is seeking a dependable technician to respond to property damage emergencies and perform restoration duties in the Cheyenne area. You will work as part of a team to extract water, manage equipment, and help restore homes and businesses to pre-loss condition.

The role requires physical stamina, willingness to work on-call shifts, and a commitment to safety. Prior restoration or construction experience is preferred. Training and uniforms are provided.

Qualifications

• Handyman experience or construction background.
• Ability to lift 50–100 lb regularly with assistance.
• Willingness to work on-call shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations such as water and fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities, including water extraction and drying.
• Set up and operate specialty equipment and demolition as needed.
• Load and inventory tools and supplies for each project.
• Communicate safety hazards and worksite needs to supervisors.
• Maintain clear communication with clients about restoration steps.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
