Job summary

Servpro of St. Louis Central is seeking a results-driven restoration technician to help communities recover from water and fire damage. You will respond to emergencies, perform cleanup, and operate equipment.

This role requires physical work, valid driver's license, ability to lift, and willingness to be on-call evenings/weekends. You will work with a team and receive on-the-job training, uniforms, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration, construction or related field preferred.
• Able to work outdoors and handle physical tasks daily.
• Team collaboration and willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations for water and fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities and equipment setup.
• Load and maintain vehicles with tools and supplies for each project.
• Communicate safety hazards and job-site requirements to supervisors.
• Maintain communication with clients and explain the restoration process.
• Perform restoration cleanup including water extraction and drying.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
