Job summary

1-800 WATER DAMAGE of McKinney and Frisco is seeking a motivated General Technician to join our restoration crew. This hands-on role supports water, fire, mold, sewer, and other property damage recovery for homeowners and businesses.

You will assist with drying, setup and monitoring of equipment, demolition tasks, and maintaining a clean work environment. We value teamwork, safety, and a can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• No restoration experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong work ethic and a customer-friendly demeanor.
• IICRC certification a plus, but not required - opportunity to advance

Responsibilities

• Assist with water damage mitigation, drying, and extraction on residential and commercial job sites.
• Assist with setting up, monitoring, and breaking down drying equipment including air movers and dehumidifiers.
• Perform demolition tasks such as removing damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation.
• Load, unload, and maintain restoration equipment and company vehicles (solo or with others).
• Follow safety protocols and SOPs on every job site.
• Assist lead technicians with mold remediation and fire/smoke cleanup as needed

General Technician

1-800 WATER DAMAGE of McKinney and Frisco is looking for a motivated General Tech team member to join our growing restoration crew! This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in helping homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, mold, sewer and other property damage. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real difference in people's lives, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Assist with water damage mitigation, drying, and extraction on residential and commercial job sites
• Assist with Setting up, monitor, and break down drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, moisture meters and other various items/tools
• Perform demolition tasks such as removing damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation(can also include tile, framing, cabinets, stairs etc)
• Load, unload, and maintain restoration equipment and company vehicles(solo or assiting other team members)
• Follow safety protocols and industry standards on every job site(must be able to read and understand SOP's)
• Assist lead technicians with mold remediation and fire/smoke cleanup as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment on all job sites

Requirements

• No prior restoration experience required — on-the-job training provided
• Strong work ethic with a positive, team-first attitude
• Strong communication skills and a customer-friendly demeanor
• IICRC certification a plus, but not required - opportunity to advance and become certified!!
