Job summary

1-800 WATER DAMAGE of McKinney and Frisco is seeking a motivated General Tech/Labor team member to join our restoration crew. This hands-on role supports homeowners and businesses recovering from water, fire, and other damage. Roll up your sleeves and contribute to real outcomes for those in need.

Qualifications

• No prior restoration experience required — on-the-job training provided.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting 25-75+ lbs and working in tight or confined spaces.
• Strong work ethic with a positive, team-first attitude.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-friendly demeanor.
• IICRC certification a plus, but not required - opportunity to advance and become certified!!

Responsibilities

• Assist with water damage mitigation, drying, and extraction on residential and commercial job sites
• Assist with Setting up, monitor, and break down drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, moisture meters and other various items/tools
• Perform demolition tasks such as removing damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation(can also include tile, framing, cabinets, stairs etc)
• Load, unload, and maintain restoration equipment and company vehicles(solo or assiting other team members)
• Follow safety protocols and industry standards on every job site(must be able to read and understand SOP's)
• Assist lead technicians with mold remediation and fire/smoke cleanup as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment on all job sites

General Technician - Laborer

About the Role:

1-800 WATER DAMAGE of McKinney and Frisco is looking for a motivated General Tech/Labor team member to join our growing restoration crew! This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in helping homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, and other property damage.
