1-800 WATER DAMAGE of McKinney and Frisco is seeking a motivated General Tech to join our restoration crew. This hands-on role supports homeowners and businesses recovering from water, fire, mold, and other damage, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• No prior restoration experience required — on-the-job training provided.
• IICRC certification is a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with water damage mitigation, drying, and extraction on residential and commercial job sites.
• Set up, monitor, and break down drying equipment including air movers and dehumidifiers.
• Perform demolition tasks such as removing damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation.
• Load, unload, and maintain restoration equipment and company vehicles.
• Follow safety protocols and SOPs on every job site.
• Assist lead technicians with mold remediation and fire/smoke cleanup as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment on all job sites.

About The Role

This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in helping homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, mold, sewer and other property damage. Responsibilities

• Assist with water damage mitigation, drying, and extraction on residential and commercial job sites
• Assist with Setting up, monitor, and break down drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, moisture meters and other various items/tools
• Perform demolition tasks such as removing damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation(can also include tile, framing, cabinets, stairs etc)
• Load, unload, and maintain restoration equipment and company vehicles(solo or assiting other team members)
• Follow safety protocols and industry standards on every job site(must be able to read and understand SOP's)
• Assist lead technicians with mold remediation and fire/smoke cleanup as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment on all job sites
