1-800 WATER DAMAGE of McKinney and Frisco is seeking a motivated General Tech to join our hands-on restoration crew. You will directly assist homeowners and businesses as we respond to water, fire, mold, and other property damage, rolling up your sleeves to make a real difference.

This role offers on-the-job training, a friendly team environment, and opportunities to advance. You'll handle equipment like air movers, dehumidifiers, and moisture meters, while staying safety-focused on every job

Qualifications

• No restoration experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Strong work ethic and team-first attitude.
• Strong communication and customer-friendly demeanor.
• IICRC certification is a plus and can lead to advancement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with water damage mitigation, drying, and extraction on job sites.
• Set up, monitor, and break down drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers).
• Perform demolition of damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation.
• Load, unload, and maintain restoration equipment and vehicles.
• Follow safety protocols and SOPs on every site.
• Assist lead techs with mold remediation and fire/smoke cleanup.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment on site.

General Technician

About the Role:

1-800 WATER DAMAGE of McKinney and Frisco is looking for a motivated General Tech team member to join our growing restoration crew! This is a hands-on role where you'll play a vital part in helping homeowners and businesses recover from water, fire, mold, sewer and other property damage. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real difference in people's lives, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Assist with water damage mitigation, drying, and extraction on residential and commercial job sites
• Assist with Setting up, monitor, and break down drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, moisture meters and other various items/tools
• Perform demolition tasks such as removing damaged drywall, flooring, and insulation(can also include tile, framing, cabinets, stairs etc)
• Load, unload, and maintain restoration equipment and company vehicles(solo or assiting other team members)
• Follow safety protocols and industry standards on every job site(must be able to read and understand SOP's)
• Assist lead technicians with mold remediation and fire/smoke cleanup as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment on all job sites

Requirements:

• No prior restoration experience required — on-the-job training provided
• Strong work ethic with a positive, team-first attitude
• Strong communication skills and a customer-friendly demeanor
• IICRC certification a plus, but not required - opportunity to advance and become certified!!
