SERVPRO Team JRF in Salem, MA is hiring a Restoration / Mitigation Project Manager to own a portfolio of Massachusetts projects, manage field crews, communicate with adjusters and owners, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You should have at least 3 years in restoration, experience writing and managing Xactimate or Symbility scopes, and knowledge of IICRC S500/S520 standards. Total compensation is $90,000–$110,000 with a performance bonus and a company vehicle option.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on project management experience in restoration (water, fire, mold)
• Experience writing and managing Xactimate or Symbility estimates
• Working knowledge of IICRC S500 (WRT) and S520 (AMRT) standards
• Experience handling insurance adjuster/TPA relationships and carrier billing processes
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; background check required
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role (lifting, wet environments, PPE)

Responsibilities

• Manage water damage, fire/smoke, and mold remediation projects from start to close
• Serve as primary contact for owners, adjusters, and TPAs throughout the project
• Write, submit, and negotiate Xactimate and Symbility scopes and change orders
• Schedule and supervise field crews and subcontractors across MA sites
• Document moisture readings and daily logs; ensure compliance with standards and carrier programs
• Maintain complete, real-time job documentation and certifications
• Identify supplemental scope and manage costs to protect gross margins
• Participate in after-hours emergency response rotation

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Restoration / Mitigation Project Manager based out of our Salem, MA office. You will own a portfolio of Massachusetts jobs — managing field crews, communicating with insurance adjusters and property owners, writing and negotiating Xactimate and Symbility scopes, and making sure every project closes on time, on budget, and to standard.

Total compensation is $90,000 – $110,000 (base salary plus performance bonus), which reflects what we expect from this role: experienced, independent, and accountable. This is not a training position. We need someone who already knows how restoration jobs run.

What You Will Do

• Manage water damage mitigation, fire/smoke restoration, and mold remediation projects from initial response through job close
• Serve as the primary contact for property owners, insurance adjusters, and TPAs throughout the project lifecycle
• Write, submit, and negotiate Xactimate and Symbility scopes, supplements, and change orders
• Schedule, direct, and supervise field crews and subcontractors across active Massachusetts job sites
• Conduct moisture mapping, psychrometric readings, and daily monitoring documentation on mitigation jobs
• Ensure all work meets IICRC S500 and S520 standards and carrier program requirements
• Maintain complete, real-time job documentation: photos, moisture readings, daily logs, authorizations, and certificates of completion
• Communicate proactively with adjusters and TPAs to move files forward and avoid approval delaysManage materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs to protect job-level gross margin
• Identify and capture supplemental scope on active jobs
• Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on project management experience in the property restoration industry — water, fire, or mold (not general construction)
• Demonstrated experience writing and managing Xactimate or Symbility estimates
• Working knowledge of IICRC S500 (WRT) and S520 (AMRT) standards
• Experience managing insurance adjuster and TPA relationships and navigating the carrier billing process
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record — required to operate company vehicles
• Clean background — background check is a condition of employment
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role: lifting, working in confined or wet environments, wearing appropriate PPE

Strongly Preferred

• Active IICRC WRT, ASD, or AMRT certification
• Experience with carrier preferred vendor / TPA programs (Contractor Connection, Alacrity, PSA, or similar)
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• Prior SERVPRO system experience
