Job summary

Contracting Specialists DC, LLC in Richmond, VA seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support the day-to-day management of concrete and masonry restoration projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, field personnel and subcontractors to ensure compliance with historical preservation standards and local building codes.

Responsibilities include preparing schedules, budgets, RFIs, and submittals; coordinating data, tracking materials, and assisting with pre-construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong technical, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with restoration techniques and historical preservation guidelines is preferred.
• Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in day-to-day management of restoration projects.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and other documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to gather data and ensure specs compliance.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, QA, and safety.
• Track materials, equipment, and deliveries for efficient workflow.
• Assist in preparing estimates, take-offs, and proposals during pre-construction.
• Document updates, change orders, and issues during construction.
• Ensure work meets historical preservation standards and local codes.
• Participate in meetings and prepare minutes and follow-up actions.
