Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead field restoration personnel and approve time entries impacting job costs and billing. The role also coordinates across residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will supervise crews, schedule work, liaise with estimators, project managers, customers, and inspectors, and oversee after-hours emergency services as needed. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred.
• 5+ years of managerial experience in restoration, cleaning, or related construction on commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.
• Strong communication, urgency, professional appearance and work ethic.
• Proficiency with restoration management systems (Restoration Manager, DASH, Service Software, LUXOR) or equivalent.
• Hazardous material identification skills; asbestos, lead paint, mold knowledge preferred.
• Experience operating vehicles up to 26,000 GVW and with truck-trailer combinations.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
• Valid EPA Lead RRP Certified Renovator license preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT requirements; able to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, subcontractors, employees and insurance companies.
• Coordinate and manage multiple residential, commercial, industrial and institutional projects of various complexities.
• Provide technical explanations to clients, adjusters, consultants and others.
• Meet with estimators and project managers regularly to ensure accuracy of all work being performed and regular contact with customers is maintained.
• Visit job sites as necessary to ensure quality.
• Schedule daily work orders submitted from the estimators and project managers for restoration, contents and light rebuilds per staff capability.
• Provide constructive feedback and direction to complete tasks on time and within budget.
• Ensure all work crews are appropriately uniformed.
• Meet with municipal inspectors and secure needed permits as required.
• Oversee all moisture mapping for water losses.
• Coordinate after-hours emergency services as directed, including board-ups, water damage, fire and smoke damage, and vandalism.
• Respond to emergencies including after hour responses as necessary.
• Develop and manage a sustainable contents operational process.
• Conduct regular two-way assessments of staff performance.
• Manage daily logistics and job assignments of field personnel and equipment.
• Coordinate daily needs with temp staffing companies.
• Coordinate job starts and schedule appointments with customers and clients.
• Handle customer complaints that pertain to quality of work or performance of employees.
• Work as a team with local and national operations to promote customer satisfaction, sales growth, and the success of the entire BELFOR organization.
• Attend BELFOR sponsored operations and safety training courses as required.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
