Job summary

Kowalski Construction, a third-generation Arizona company, seeks an experienced Mitigation Estimator in Phoenix to prepare accurate Xactimate estimates, coordinate with adjusters and project managers, and drive billing and collections for complex emergency services projects.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in restoration estimating, Xactimate proficiency, and the ability to maintain thorough documentation across the job lifecycle, including field site coordination and on-time submissions.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of restoration industry experience.
• Experience preparing estimates in Xactimate.
• Xactimate Level 1 and Level 2 certifications preferred.
• Understanding of restoration documentation, labor and equipment charges, and insurance claim estimating practices.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must undergo a background check and pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Xactimate estimates for water mitigation, mold remediation, asbestos/lead abatement, biohazard cleanup, and other services.
• Coordinate with project managers, insurance adjusters, and owners; gather information to support estimates.
• Manage invoicing, collections, and resolution of billing disputes; track job status from estimate to final payment.
• Meet company standards for estimate turnaround, documentation, billing, and collections; stay updated on industry practices.
