Job summary

BMS CAT in Wood Dale, IL is seeking a Restoration Lead Technician to supervise water damage mitigation and restoration tasks from our Wood Dale operation. You will lead a crew, perform high-quality mitigation, water extraction, and cleanup, and ensure safety and adherence to company guidelines on job sites.

The role requires physical ability to lift heavy loads, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Experience in water mitigation.
• Lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and in tight spaces.
• Participate in our on-call rotation work schedule.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving history.
• IICRC certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Effectively perform all water damage mitigation and restoration services the company offers.
• Perform high quality water mitigation services and water extraction.
• Perform demolition tasks and cleanup/removal of damaged materials.
• Set up drying equipment and follow proper drying techniques.
• Lead a work crew and coordinate on-site activities.

Restoration Lead Technician

Effectively perform all water damage mitigation and restoration services the company offers such as:

• Perform high quality water mitigation services
• Water extraction
• Perform demolition tasks
• Clean up and debris removal of drywall, cabinetry, and flooring that may be damaged
• Place and monitor drying equipment
• Follow company guidelines for proper drying techniques
• Set up the van at the job site using the proper set-up procedures
• Setting up containment, decontaminating, setting up/monitoring remediation equipment
• Perform job cleanup and breakdown
• Effectively lead a work crew

Requirements

• IICRC certification preferred, but not required
• Experience in water mitigation
• Lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Participate in our on-call rotation work schedule
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving history
